Triund Trek Weekend Trip
One of the most famous treks of Himachal Pradesh to go over a weekend from Delhi is Triund Trek. This trek bestows some breathtaking glances of Kangra Valley and the snow-clad Dhauladhar ranges. This trek of around 5 KMs is short but steep and it takes around 4-5 hrs to reach the top. The trail, starting from Mcleodganj, takes you through rhododendron and oak trees. Gaze the sunset from Triund top which in itself is a breathtaking scene. When you reach the top and look over the meadows and surrounding valleys, you'll feel accomplished as they look stunning. Camping on the meadows under the open sky is in itself an adventure. If you go further, you'll notice that the Triund top, unlike other summits is not the end. Trekking forward will take you to Laka Glacier and Indrahar Pass. Considered as an easy one, the Triund trek is a must to do trek, especially for beginners.
