How Difficult is the trek to Parashar Lake?

The trek to Parashar lake is an easy to moderate trek but during the winter season a lot of snow gets accumulated on the path which makes it little slippery.

What would be the best time to visit the trek?

Anytime, except monsoon which starts from mid-July to mid-September.

How comfortable is the stay in the campsite?

The stay will be in a camp in Baggi which is a small village enrooted to Parashar lake. The camps are very hygienic and very cozy.

What all things I would need to carry on this trek?

A small bag with some dry fruits, water and some other snacks would be enough during the trek and if the trek is in the winters an extra layer of warm jacket or a sweater.

Is there any entry fee or a permit or anything like that required before trekking to Parashar Lake?

No, it is a Pilgrimage site and no entry fee is required but the entry into the lake is prohibited as it is considered holy.

A temple dedicated to Rishi Parashar was built in 13th-14th century by the king Ban Sen, is situated just beside the lake. This architectural wonder entwined with nature gives a phenomenal look to the landscape. The lake remains frozen during winters and is a sight to behold forever. The trek to the lake is about 8 KMs and takes you through rich, dense forests at the foothills of Dhauladhar.
