One of the easiest treks of Himachal Pradesh, Beas Kund Trek takes you through the villages of Dhundi and Bakarthach. Situated at a height of about 12000ft, this pristine lake is said to be the earstwhile bathing pool of Rishi Ved Vyas, the narrator of Mahabharata. The total distance to be covered on foot to reach Beas Kund is about 19 KMs, starting from Dhundi. This trail takes you deep into the realms of nature and some of the rare species of flora are found here. One may spot some amazing and enchanting plants like Nag Chattri, Morel Mushrooms, Pink Rhodenderons, and wild Strawberries. Witness some majestic mountain peaks like Friendship Peak, Deo Tibba, Shitidhar, and Hanuman Tibba. Beas Kund falls in the district of Kullu in Himachal Pradesh in the laps of the mighty Dhauladhar Range. The glacier around Beas Lake is the source of the Beas River.
