Dhanaulti is a base for many popular treks to the Himalayas. Treks to Laal Tibba of 60km and  Surkanda Devi temple trek of 3 km are the most famous treks. Surkanda Devi temple trek is a trek to a hilltop temple with scenic views of the Garhwal hills throughout the journey. This trek is for all age groups from young children to old age people as the path is cemented making it easy for everyone.

Best Time To Vist Dhanaulti

• Summer ( March-June) This is the best time to witness the glorious sunrise and sunsets. The temperature during this time of year is above 30℃ during the day and falls up to 7℃ at night. The clear blue skies give a panoramic view of the Himalayas.
• Winter (November-February) Winters in Dhanaulti start from the last week of October with an average temperature of 1℃-7℃. February is with light snowfall.
• Monsoon ( July-September) It is recommended to avoid visiting Dhanaulti as it is impossible to conduct any outdoor activities. The area gets slippery and has chances of cloud burst.

The nearest airport to Dhanaulti is Jolly Grant Airport (DED) from there a taxi or cabs are available at reasonable rates, covering the total distance from the airport is 82 km.

The nearest Railway station to Dhanaulti is Dehradun Railway Station at a distance of 25km. Several Trains like

The best option for Dhanaulti by road is through Mussoorie which is 24km. The distance from Dehradun is 40 km, approx. 78 km from Haridwar and 67.5 km from Rishikesh. There are different options available like
