Enough of the imagination it's time to visit this mystical lake the Parashar Lake. With the perimeter of about 300 m and an island floating inside it the Parashar Lake is in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. This lake is believed to come into existence when Rishi Parashar struck a rod on ground and water came out of there and took the shape of this lake. A temple dedicated to Rishi Parashar was built in 13th-14th century by the king Ban Sen, is situated just beside the lake. This architectural wonder entwined with nature gives a phenomenal look to the landscape. The lake remains frozen during winters and is a sight to behold forever. The trek to the lake is about 8 KMs and takes you through rich, dense forests at the foothills of Dhauladhar.

Baggi - Parashar (8 KMs trek)
- Reach Mandi around 8 am in morning.
- Drive to Baggi (2hrs drive to Baggi).
- Baggi village is the base camp for Parashar(Trek for 8 KMs).
- It takes around 4-5 hrs.
- For the first 4 KMs, the trek is normal but the rest half is a little tough.
- Enjoy the forest view while trekking.
- Dinner and bonfire in the camps.

- Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
- Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to an increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing to cancellations@planmypackage.com. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows :
- Booking Amount is Non-Refundable
- From 30 to 44 days prior to arrival: 50 % of the Total Trip Cost
- From 15 to 29 days prior to arrival: 75 % of the Total Trip Cost
- From 0 to 14 Days prior to arrival or No Show : 100 % of the Total Trip Cost
Note: Written cancellation will accept on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation sent on Sunday's will be considered on next working day (Monday).
In case of any adverse weather, natural calamity, local issues or Government orders, or any unforeseen circumstances happens during the Trip, Our Team would try at their level best to execute services as per itinerary but in case of it not happening, no refund would be processed. If in case, Trip couldn’t be started due to such unavoidable circumstances before starting of it, PlanMyPackage would issue a voucher for 100% of the amount which can be redeemed within 12 months from the voucher issuance date.

The trek to Parashar lake is an easy to moderate trek but during the winter season a lot of snow gets accumulated on the path which makes it little slippery.
Anytime, except monsoon which starts from mid-July to mid-September.
The stay will be in a camp in Baggi which is a small village enrooted to Parashar lake. The camps are very hygienic and very cozy.
A small bag with some dry fruits, water and some other snacks would be enough during the trek and if the trek is in the winters an extra layer of warm jacket or a sweater.
No, it is a Pilgrimage site and no entry fee is required but the entry into the lake is prohibited as it is considered holy.
