Khardung La (5,602 m / 18,379 ft), leading to Nubra Valley, offers a thrilling drive along steep roadwith panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Similarly, Chang La (5,360 m / 17,585 ft) on the way from Pangong Lake back to Leh provides sweeping vistas of high-altitude plains and rugged peaks.
- The Karakoram ranges, visible along parts ofthe Nubra and Pangong routes, dominate the horizon with jagged snow-capped peaks, contrasting sharply with the arid desert valleys below. These ranges are part of the greater Himalayan system and create some of the most dramatic landscapes in the region

- The route back to Leh passes through several ancient monasteries, including Hemis, Thiksey, and Shey, giving travellers insight into Ladakh’s Buddhist culture.
