Pauri Garhwal is a district that is the most scenic place in the Garhwal region in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, headquarters is in the town of Pauri. It is also sometimes referred to as Garhwal district but the Garhwal region is larger it shouldn’t be confused. Pauri Garhwal is known for being naturally unique and exclusive. This place is the bounty of beautiful picturesque manifested in the form of verdant forest, gushing waterfalls, sacred religious sites, and snow-capped mountains which tourists will love to enjoy every moment. Pauri Garhwal district is the headquarter of Pauri and the district is administratively divided into 9 tehsils namely; Pauri, lands down, Kotdwar, Thalisain, Chobattakhal, Srinagar, Satpuli, Dhumakot & Yamkeshwar, and fifteen development blocks. As a part of the Western Himalayas, it presents a unique set of an ecological complex variety of systems that incorporates forest, meadows, grasslands, marshes, rivers, wildlife, several other peculiarities. The Nayyar river decides Alaknanda is the major river of the district as well as major tributaries of Alaknanda which is the confluence of eastern and western Nayyar at Satpuli. The nearest Airport to Pauri Garhwal is Jolly Grant i.e in Dehradun since there is no airport. One can easily come from any major city like Delhi, Mumbai, etc i.e well connected in regular air service. One can hire a taxi to proceed directly to Pauri Garhwal which is about 133km (4 hours) from the airport.

The nearest railway station will be Kotdwara Railway Station which is about 101 km (3 hours) from Pauri Garhwal which is well connected with several cities.
