wardha

wardha

"Wardha has a long history of being ruled by many great kingdoms, including the Chalukyas, Mauryas, Rajputs, and Satavahanas. Wardha was captured by the Bahmani kingdom for the first time in 1351. When the Bahmani dynasty fell apart in 1518, it was taken over by the Imad Shahi rulers. Wardha was eventually conquered by the British after the Mughal dynasties invaded the city. Wardha is a district in Maharashtra, India, that was founded in 1866. The Wardha river, which runs through the district, gave its name to the city within the district with the same name. It is spread out over a massive 6310 km region."
