Sasangir or Gir National Park is located in the state of Gujarat. It is located approximately 60 km from the Junagarh district in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat. It is home to around 300 Asiatic Lions. Sasan Gir is the only place in the world outside the African continent where the lion can be seen in its natural habitat. The forest is also home to species like leopard, chital, chinkara (gazelle), wild boar, wild ass, nilgai, spotted deer, and four-horned antelope Other famous place s to visit are Nalsarovar Lake and Sanctuary. The park also has a small temple dedicated to Lord Krishna near the Tulsi Shyam springs.
