Being one of the four holiest places to the Buddhists. It is located 10kilometers toward the northeast of Varanasi near the confluence of the Ganga & the Varuna rivers in the state of Utter Pradesh. The deer park in Sarnath is the place where Gautam Buddha first taught the Dharma and from then only the Buddhist sangha came in through the enlightenment of Kondanna. This place is flocked with devotees and it is one of the perfect examples of a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, Jains & Hindus. The main attractions of Sarnath are Ashoka's pillar, Dharma Stupa which was built by Emperor Ashoka and many more.
