Nawalgarh is a town situated in the district of Jhunjhunu of Rajasthan. It is 30 km away from the district headquarter. It is commonly known as the land of Havelis. Nawalgarh is also referred to as the Open Air Gallery. Nawalgarh is world known destination known for its painted and beautifully designed and carved Havelis. The astonishing wall paintings have been painted on both sides of the walls. The paintings were further decorated with small pieces of mirror, gold and silver leaves. Some of the famous Havelis at Nawalgarh are Anandilal Poddar Haveli, THe Jodhraj Patodia, Bansidar Bhagat Haveli, Chokhani Haveli, the Aath (eight) Haveli complex, Chhawchhariya Haveli, Murarka Haveli, Hem Raj Kulwal Haveli, Bhagton Ki Haveli, and Khedwal Bhavan. Another famous attraction of Nawalgarh is Nawalgarh Fort, Roop Niwas Palace which os now turned into a heritage hotel.
