Kevadia is a small village located in Gujarat's Narmada district. Kevadia is renowned for the Sardar Sarovar Dam, but it became world-famous after the unveiling of the Statue of Unity. The colorful laser lighting device is followed by an excellent narration of Sardar Patel's life and contributions to the Independence Movement and India's unification as a single country. The statue was erected as a tribute to India's Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country's first home minister. He was in charge of bringing the country's 562 princely states together to form the Republic of India.
