Govindghat is a small town situated just on the confluence of the river Alakananda and Lakshman Ganga. The average altitude of the town is 6000 Feet above sea level and is approximately 22 km from Joshimath which is the starting point of Hemkund Sahib and FLower Valley. Some of the famous attraction in surrounding Govind ghat are- Badrinath Temple, Bheem Pul, Bedini Bugyal, The Pushpawati and Hemganga rivers etc.
