Bekal is a small town in the Kasargod district of Kerala. It is situated on the west of Malabar Coastline. Bekal derives its name from 'Baliakulam' which 'Big Palace'. This small town is notable for its charming beauty that grabs the attention of tourist from all corners of the world. It is shaped like a giant keyhole, the Bekal fort is bordered by the Arabian on three sides. A set of 45 caves called the Nityanandashram caves, Kappil Beach and Chandragiri fort are a few of the other major attractions.
