Bankura is a town which is situated in the Medinipur Division in the state of West Bengal. Bankura is famous for its temples and hills and also considered a perfect place for adventure sports lovers such as trekkers and hikers. In Bakura, one can visit the natural hot springs at Susunia Hill which is just 50 km away from the town. Also to the west, there is Beharinath Hill which is an important place for Jainism. Mukutmanipur dam is another tourist attraction in Bankura. It is the second-largest earth dam in India.
