Badrinath- A mountain for Lord Shiva is situated in the Chamoli District of Uttrakhand. Badrinath is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India. It is the part of Chota Char Dham Yatra which includes the other three destinations Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and situated on the bank of River Alaknanda. According to ancestors, Lord Vishnu meditated here while his wife took the form of a berry(Badri) tree to offer him shade.
