"The Ajanta Caves are rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 CE in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state of India. Ajanta has beautiful paintings and sculptures which is unique in themselves. It is based on Buddhist architecture. Ajanta is 107 km away from Aurangabad and 60 km away from Jalgaon. 32 caves that include Chaityas and Vihars are in the shape of Horseshoe. The state tourism board also made a duplicate copy of of the caves near the entry gate."
